NISER has started its pilot project to convert a 8.2 metre Pantec into a Tiny House as an affordable housing solution for for the Noosa hinterland region.

Our indigenous project officer ‘Rocky’ Neilsen is leading the team of workers including volunteers in developing this project.

We are strengthening the frame and will put in new flooring, recladding and lining the building and adding a good quality toilet, shower and kitchen.

Overall, we are expecting the first project to take 4 mths and then we intend to accellerate production once the methodology and economics is proven.

The pilot project is being funded by NISER and donations from supporters and we have grant requests in for materials and equipment to assist this endeavor.

We’ll keep you posted on developments.
